Now this will be a feisty match-up for all to see! The San Francisco 49ers will hopefully be primed and ready to face the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night.
The 49ers fell short of an opening week win, losing 19-10 to the Chicago Bears, with new starting quarterback Trey Lance falling just short of expectations. However, it is too early to judge this squad just yet, with Deebo Samuel doing Deebo Samuel things even in a loss.
The injury to running back Elijah Mitchell will hurt the 49ers offence somewhat, but with defensive titans in d-end Nick Bosa, safety Talanoa Hufanga and middle linebacker Fred Warner – fans will be feeling a nervous anticipation for this game.
The Seahawks will be bringing an air of confidence into this match-up, having one three of the last four games against the 49ers. The Seahawks brought a tense game to a close against the Denver Broncos, winning 17-16.
Nerves were shred by the end of the game, as Broncos place kicker Brandon McManus tried his luck from 64 yards to steal the game in the dying seconds. However, his kick was inches wide, and the Seahawks sealed the victory.
Both teams are headed to San Franciso 49ers home stadium with a point to prove. Trey Lance will be hoping to cement his spot as starting quarterback, and Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith will be looking to silence his haters.
Smith posted on Monday night after the tense victory: “They wrote me off, I ain’t write back, though.” Is it Geno’s time this Sunday? Or will Lance show his best side to defeat the Seahawks riding high?
Let us know in the comments below what your predictions are. It’s going to be tight I think, but I am going for a 49ers win.
