Week 3 of the NFL season is done and dusted and it was another good one. Plenty of headline stories and some cracking games. Time to take a look.

Panthers Power On

With their Thursday Night win over the Texans the Carolina Panthers moved to 3-0. This is the first time they have won their first three games since 2015 when the Panthers made it all the way to the Superbowl. Surely history won’t repeat even with Darnold feeling the full force of the Post Gase Bounce.

Chiefs Chopped Down To 1-2

Another 2015 Record fell this week as the Chiefs suffered back-to-back defeats in September for the first time since weeks two and three of the 2015 season. The Kansas City side dropped to 1-2 following losses to the Ravens and Chargers. While there definitely won’t be alarm bells going off yet, it’s a slow start for a team that is shipping a fair amount of points

Steelers Streak Ends In Bengals Beating

For the first time in 76 regular-season games, the Pittsburgh Steelers failed to record a sack, against the Bengals of all teams. The Steelers have looked really poor this season but failing to get home once against the leaky Bengals Offensive Line should have the team in a panic. Not to mention on the other side RB Harris has 127 Yards rushing and 111 of those yards have come after contact.

Justin Tucker Is The Kicking GOAT

This has probably been known for a while but what happened at the end of the Ravens v Lions game was truly extraordinary. Tucker’s game-winning walk-off 66-Yard record-breaking field goal was ridiculous. Even with the dink off the crossbar seeing it across the line.

Saints Silence Patriots Demons

Before Sunday, the New Orleans Saints hadn’t won in New England since 1995! But that all ended this week as Jameis Winston let the Saints past the Patriots in a 28-13 win. The Defence returned to its best after a rough week against the Panthers.

Broncos Blowout Jets

The Broncos shutout win over the New York Jets moved the Denver team to 3-0. Sure, plenty will rush to point out that their opponents are a combined 0-9 but 3 of those losses came at the hands of the Broncos. It’s another win for Denver, meaning they remain on an ever-shortening list of what must be said has some unusual teams.

Raiders Rally Past Dolphins In Overtime Win

The Las Vegas Raiders are another team on the 3-0 list after they staved off a late Dolphins charge to win in overtime. It’s been a really good start to the season for the Raiders, often criticised for some of their draft picks of late but it all seems to be coming together for the Silver and Black.

Rams Topple Tampa

The LA Rams have two of the best defensive players in the game and they have looked incredibly strong on that side of the ball for a few seasons. That was never enough to get them over the hump and win the Superbowl. Enter Mathew Stafford. The Quarterback has been reborn in LA and with a signature win over the reigning Superbowl Champions many are now saying the Rams look like the best team in the NFL

Another Arod Miracle

When will teams ever learn, unless the clock reads triple zeros they have left too much time for Rodgers. Once again, a team left time on the clock and once again, they lost the game. Teams are going to have to start deliberately letting the clock near run out before trying to win in future to stop these crazy game-winning drives from happening.

Dallas Destroy Eagles

Jalen Hurts has said that rent is due every day and he’s not missing any payments. That may be true but he sure likes to miss open receivers. On top of his 2 interceptions, Hurts was lucky not to have a 3rd which would have for sure been another pick-six when he missed a wide-open Zach Ertz on his own 3-yard line. Take nothing away from Dallas though, they moved the ball at will with the run game looking back to its best.

Probably the best I’ve seen the Dolphins play this season.
